Community guidelines
This space exists so people can talk honestly about consent and relationships and stay safe.
Respect other people
Disagree with ideas, never attack the person. Harassment, pile-ons and targeted abuse are not allowed.
No threats, violence or hate
Do not threaten anyone, encourage violence, or attack people because of who they are — including race, religion, disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation.
Protect privacy
Never name, describe or identify another person in a discussion. Do not publish anyone's contact details, address, workplace, social accounts or other identifying information.
Don't accuse identifiable people here
You can talk about your own experience, ask for support, and discuss issues generally. Do not publicly accuse or identify another private individual in connection with sexual or criminal conduct. If you want to keep an account of what happened, use a private incident record instead — that is separate from the community.
Be yourself
Do not impersonate another person, organisation or CSent itself, and do not try to work out or reveal who an anonymous participant is.
No intimate or private material about others
Do not post another person's intimate or sexual images, private sexual messages, private CSent messages, or files from a record, without their permission and lawful authority.
No explicit content
Discuss consent and relationships without graphic sexual detail.
No spam, scams or selling
No advertising, promotion, referral links, repeated posting or attempts to get money, personal details or contact off-platform under false pretences.
Nothing dangerous
Do not encourage self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or other harmful behaviour. If you are struggling, Safety and support lists organisations that can help.
Never use CSent to pressure anyone
Do not use the community, or anything in CSent, to pressure, coerce, shame or manipulate another person into agreeing to something — or into changing, deleting or fabricating a record.
No legal or medical advice
Share experience, not diagnosis or legal conclusions.
Report, don't retaliate
Open the discussion and use Report on anything that breaks these rules. You can also mute someone so their discussions no longer appear for you.
Moderation and what happens next
- We may remove content that breaks these guidelines.
- We may limit or suspend participation in the community, or an account, where that is appropriate.
- We may keep information about a report or a removal where there is a legitimate reason to do so.
- We review reports, but the community is not monitored around the clock and we don't promise a response time.
- CSent does not decide whether an allegation about anyone is true. Removing a post is a decision about these guidelines, nothing more.
There is no formal appeals process yet. If you think something was removed in error, you can get in touch through Help & support.
Your community activity is separate
Your community posts are not shown alongside your consent sessions, records or evidence, and other people never see those. Posting anonymously means other people in the community don’t see your name — CSent still keeps the account link it needs to run, secure and moderate the service. You can mute someone or report content at any time.
