If something doesn't feel right
If something has happened that you are unhappy or unsure about, there is no single correct order of steps. These are options, not instructions.
Right now
- Get somewhere you feel safe. If you are in immediate danger, call 999.
- Contact someone you trust, if you want company.
- Consider medical attention if you have been hurt, or have health concerns.
- Specialist support services can talk things through confidentially, including if you are unsure what happened.
If you want to keep information
- Write down what you remember while it is fresh, in your own words.
- Keep messages, photos or other material you think may matter.
- You can create a private incident record in CSent, visible only to you.
Reporting is your decision
Nothing in CSent is sent to the police or any authority automatically. Creating a record is not a report.
You can preserve information now and decide later, or decide not to report at all.
Specialist services can explain reporting and forensic options, including time-sensitive ones, better than an app can.
CSent's limits
CSent is not an emergency, medical, forensic, police or legal service.
It can help you write things down and keep them private. It does not investigate, verify or decide anything.
If you are in immediate danger, call 999. For support after an unwanted experience, see the Safety and support page in CSent.
