Understanding CSent

How CSent protects your privacy

CSent handles sensitive material, so it is built to share as little as possible by default.

Who can see what

  • Consent sessions: the two participants only.
  • Incident records: private to your account — no other user sees them.
  • Preserved files: reachable only through your own account.
  • How you felt after a session: private to your account, and never shared with the other participant.
  • Community posts: visible in the community, with your name shown only if you choose to show it. Posting anonymously hides your name from other people; CSent keeps the account link it needs to run, secure and moderate the service.

Controls you have

  • Discreet notifications replace names and details with neutral wording.
  • Automatic sign-out ends your session on this device after a period of inactivity.
  • Quick exit leaves the page immediately.
  • You choose, for each community post and reply, whether your name is shown.
  • You can request deletion of a preserved item; the request itself becomes part of the record.

Honest limits

No app can promise perfect security, and CSent does not claim to.

Anyone with access to your unlocked device may be able to see your account, so a device passcode matters.

Anything you share outside CSent — screenshots, exports, forwarded messages — is outside its control.

CSent shares general educational information only. It does not determine whether consent legally existed, and it is not medical or legal advice.
